Nigel Bowden: Managing Director


Nigel Bowden

Nigel is a graduate Electrical/Electronic Engineer who has over twenty five years experience of defining and implementing Manufacturing Execution and Plant Information Management Systems. His current role as Managing Director of Yokogawa Marex Limited continues to expand on this experience with Yokogawa Marex Limited designated as a Yokogawa Global Production Excellence Solution Centre (PESC). The PESC acts as the hub of Yokogawa's Global MES Network (GMSN) providing centralized strategic direction and consultative support to four Regional MES Implementation Centres located in USA, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Nigel has had many papers published on the benefits of plant to business systems integration across a diverse range of industries in such media as Hydrocarbons Processing, Chemical Engineer, Process Engineering, Plant Engineering and Pharmaceutical Europe.

 

Wayne Matthews: Technical Services Director

Wayne is a graduate in Computer Science who has over fifteen years of experience at Yokogawa Marex in designing, implementing and the deployment of Manufacturing Execution and Plant Information Management Software and Systems. In his current role as Technical Director he is responsible for consultancy services, software development and systems integration teams and providing support to the Sales and Customer Services teams.






Steve Hargreaves: Support Manager

Steve Hargreaves is responsible for providing support services to the YMX customer base. This consists of distributing our products and delivering training courses on them, arranging consultancy either remotely for our offices or at the customer sites and also providing support and help with any problems or understanding of our products.

Steve joined YMX in 1977 to work in the then Met Ocean part of the company providing analysis of metrological conditions to oil production companies to assist in the design of oil and gas platforms. Steve then worked as a software engineer which also involved commissioning work on oil production and drilling platforms in various parts of the world. He then switched to the PIMS side of the business and worked on various projects before taking on the management and development of the customer service department.

 

 

Ron Woods: Financial Controller

As Financial Controller Ron Woods is responsible for overseeing all of the company's accounting and financial reporting obligations, including that into Yokogawa Europe and Yokogawa Japan, and for ensuring completion of the company's annual statutory accounts in compliance with the UK Companies Act. He also holds the post of Company Secretary.

Throughout his career Ron has held Management Accountant posts in industries ranging from family run enterprises, light engineering and high volume production plants, to aircraft manufacture. He joined the original Marex Technology Company in 1989, and has been in his present role with Yokogawa since 2004.

 

Andy Bloodworth: QHSE & IT Manager

Andy Bloodworth is the QHSE & IT Manager responsible for the management of the office administration functions of Quality Management, IT Management, Purchasing and Supply, Occupational Safety and Health Management and Facilities Management.

Since joining in 1983, Andy has experienced a variety of roles and positions in a long career with the company starting as an office junior in the electronics test department before branching out into electronic stores control and becoming the Company Buyer. In 1994 Andy accepted the role of Quality Manager and obtained company certification to the ISO9001:1994 quality standard at the first attempt in September 1995, a certification that is still held and now updated to the 2008 version of the ISO standard. In recent years Andy has also accepted the additional roles of IT Manager and OSHMS Manager.
