Location

We are based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight and within 10 minutes walking distance of ferry and foot passenger links to the Southampton.

We are currently recruiting for:

COMPANY ACCOUNTANT (30 hours per week)

The Role
As a Company Accountant you will deliver a high level of accounting expertise, reporting directly to the Managing Director and playing an integral part within an established management team. You will lead a small finance team and be actively involved in all aspects of the day to day accounting requirements and be responsible for the overall delivery of departmental functions and deadlines.

Your main day to day duties will include: maintaining financial controls, preparation and delivery of budgets, forecasting, job cost accounting for projects, reconciliation and analytical reporting, cash management and financial/statutory account reporting. You will also be responsible for overseeing the future transition from UKGAAP to IFRS.

The role will involve working with various people across the Company and financial reporting directly to our parent Company in Japan, hence experience of group reporting is important.

You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), you will possess and be able to demonstrate proven group accounting disciplines and a proactive approach. You will require advanced Microsoft Excel skills, to enable you to deliver many of the key day to day elements of the role.

The role is a part-time position of 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility on the working hours preferred by the successful candidate. Some travel may be required for the role, to attend meetings at other affiliates or our parent Company.
